Thenmala – Ponmudi – Poovar

DAY 01

ARRIVE TRIVANDRUM BY TRAIN or FLIGHT-
Upon arrival, transfer to the Kanyakumary.(88 kms 2.30 hrs)
En-route visiting Padmanabhapuram Palace and Sucheendram Temple.On arrival at Kanyakumary,check in at the hotel Singar International. Witness sunset.
Overnight at the hotel .

DAY 02

KANYAKUMARY TO KOVALAM (85 kms 2 hrs)
After breakfast visit Vivekananda Rock.
Witness sun rise.
You will have 10 minutes boat trip to visit Vivekananda Rock. You will also have the opportunity to witness Thiruvalluvar Statue.

DAY 03

KOVALAM to THENMALA via NEYYAR WILDLIFE SANCTUARY- PONMUDI
Early morning breakfast, straight drive to Neyyar Wildlife Sanctuary (30 km from
Trivandrum city).
Neyyar:
The main tourist attractions: Crocodile farm, lion safari park, boat rides on the
reservoir and trekking. There are nearly 109 rare plants and Medicinal plants in the region. And proceeds to Ponmudi
Ponmudi:(61 kms 1.30 hrs)
This is one of the beautiful hill stations in Kerala. Trekking is a passion with the
visitors to Ponmudi. Tea- Estates and the mist covered valleys- another pretty picnic spot endowed with natural springs, is a little further down the hill.
After lunch drive from Ponmudi to Thenmala. (27 kms ½ hr) En- route visit a waterfall in the midst of the forest, for a refreshing bath.
On arrival and transfer to the Thenmala hotel.
Evening witness Musical dancing fountain show.

DAY 04

THENMALA
After breakfast, proceeds full day sightseeing tour at Thenmala. Visit Oil Palm ,
Rubber Plantations (one of the biggest rubber plantation in India) . En-route visit
Palaruvi water falls.
After Lunch, visit Sculpture Garden, Pathways, Boardwalk, Sway bridge etc. And
finally, proceed one hour picturesque boating in the Shenduruney Wild Life
Sanctuary.

DAY 05

THENMALA to THEKKADY via KONNI (230 km 5 hrs)
After breakfast drive to Thekkady. En- route visit Konni Elephant training camp on
the borders for Konni Forest. Proceed to Thekkady and transfer to the hotel.

DAY 06

THEKKADY
After Breakfast, proceed full day sight seeing tour at Thekkady. The most renowned destination is the PERIYAR WILDLIFE SANCTUARY at Thekkady. Here is the natural habitat of Elephant, tiger, bison, spotted and samba deer, gaur, etc. visit includes tea garden, rubber estates and plantations, growing spices and coffee. The sanctuary is open throughout the year.
Evening Game viewing by motorized boat at Periyar Lake.

DAY 07

THEKKADY
Breakfast at the hotel.Morning proceed to Munnar. Arrival Munnar by noon, check-in to hotel.
If you seek a sense of peace you’ll find it here in Munnar. This is where you fill your holidays with quiet moments at 1600 meters above sea level. Relaxing within the cool stillness of thirty odd estates fanning out across the expanse of the hills.

DAY 08

MUNNAR
After breakfast proceed on with a full day sightseeing tour. Your Visit Includes
Pothamedu-which offers an excellent view of Tea, coffee and cardamom plantations; Devikulam-an idyllic hill station with its velvet lawns, exotic flora and fauna; Pallivasal-the venue of the first Hydro Electric Project in Kerala; Mattupetty-
the highly specialized dairy farm; Eravikulam National Park-a 97 sq.km park etc.

DAY 09

MUNNAR TO COCHIN (130 KMS 3 HRS)
After breakfast drive to cochin transfer to the hotel. After noon sightseeing tour at
Cochin The sightseeing shows you the prominent landmark of Cochin viz. Jewish Synagogue constructed in 1568. This is the oldest synagogue in the Commonwealth. Known for mid 18th century hand painted willow pattered floor tiles from China, ancient scripts on copper plates etc. Visit the “Dutch Palace” with its wonderful murals depicting the entire story of the Ramayana and Mahabharata on its walls. See St. Francis Church: built in 1503 by Portuguese. This is the first European church built in India.

DAY 10

DEPART FROM COCHIN.
Rest of the day free for you till you are transferred to Airport or railway station for
your onward destination.
